RSVP would like to commend each and every senior volunteer who bridges the gap between what is impossible and what is made possible by your giving spirit.
This year there were three nominations made to the 2010 Morrison County Outstanding Senior Award committee: Louene Walz of Pierz, MN, Betz Teple and Rita Toenies both of Little Falls, MN.
All three of these ladies, as well as many others in our communities, are worthy of this award. They volunteer to serve dinner to the hungry, bring people to church, assist with blood drives, serve on advisory councils, and offer friendly visiting to those in need.
This year, Betz Temple was chosen as the 2010 Morrison County Outstanding Senior. Her passion and dedication to volunteerism serves as a role model for those nearby. In a letter sent to the committee, it states that, “Her hands, eyes, and heart are always open to meet new friends and try new things to give back to her community.”
